Implementing Better Models for Development in the Lehigh Valley

Lehigh and Northampton Counties have partnered with the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, Wildlands Conservancy, Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, PA Governor’s Center for Local Government Services and the Conservation Fund to host “Implementing Better Models for Development in the Lehigh Valley,” an evening presentation, on Thursday, January 24 from 5:30-8:30p.m. at Allentown Symphony Hall.

Ed McMahon, a nationally recognized authority on sustainable development, land conservation and urban design, will provide a public talk based on his book, “Better Models for Development in Pennsylvania.”

Learn about development decisions that are more profitable and less costly for both the developer and the community through:
  • Inspiring examples of development that compliments a community's character
  • Ideas for using tools such as education, incentives and voluntary initatives
  • Common-sense solutions that enhnace the Lehigh Valley's economy, communities and enviornment
